On April 19th, the Biden Administration released its Final Rule – their changes to Title IX meant to go into effect on August 1, 2024. Several groups, individuals, and Attorneys General (including in Missouri) challenged the rule on the basis of some of the protections included.
An injunction was granted. The Department of Education is unable to enforce the 2024 Regulations in the state of MO, as well as 23 other states. A current timeline is unknown. The regulations might go into effect in whole, part, or not at all, at some point in the future as multiple court cases progress through the legal system.
